Caring for our Country Program Grants are available for national and statewide projects with a broad-scale focus, regional and multi-regional projects to conserve and repair our natural environment, and community and local projects to tackle a localised issue. Cleaner fuels grant scheme (CFGS) Businesses that manufacture or import eligible cleaner fuels can register and claim for payments under this scheme. Australian Taxation Office (ATO)

Climate Change Adjustment Program  Provides primary producers with professional advice, training and adjustment assistance to cope with present and future climatic changes that affect farming. Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry
Climate Change and Productivity Research Program This program funds research and development activities to assist the agriculture sector to manage emissions and adjustments to climate change. Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry
Climate Ready Program Provides grants to support research and business development activities to develop solutions to climate change challenges. AusIndustry
Commonwealth Environment Research Facilities (CERF) CERF provides for research in areas of special strength or need as identified in priority research areas of nation-wide research and Marine and Tropical Sciences Research Facilities. Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts
Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) Program The CRC Program links researchers with industry to share knowledge on environmental management and ecologically sustainable development. Education for Sustainability Grants Program The Program provides funding for projects in the following areas: community, futher and higher education, and business and industry. Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts
Energy Efficiency Opportunities The Energy Efficiency Opportunities program encourages businesses to improve their energy efficiency. The program applies to corporations in all sectors of the economy. The program is mandatory for businesses using more than 0.5 petajoules (PJ) a year. Energy grants credits scheme (ECGS) - alternative fuels

EGCS provides grants to businesses that use particular fuels for specified activities.

Ethanol Production Grants (EPG)

Eligible Australian ethanol producers can apply for funding under the EPG program that supports the use of biofuels in transport. AusIndustry
Ethanol Distribution Program (EDP) The EDP helps retail service stations offset costs to install or convert infrastructure to supply 10 per cent ethanol blended petrol. AusIndustry
Exceptional Circumstances Advice and Re-training Grant Provides access to professional advice and employment re-training grants for farmers exiting farming. Centrelink
Exceptional Circumstances Exit Grant Offers a one-off, taxable payment of up to $150 000 to assist farmers in the sale of their farm in Exceptional Circumstances zoned areas. Centrelink
Exceptional Circumstances Interest Rate Subsidies Provides business loan interest rate support to farms that are viable in the long term, but are in financial difficulties due to an Exceptional Circumstances event. Centrelink
Exceptional Circumstances Relief Payment Provides assistance to farmers living in areas affected by Exceptional Circumstances who are having difficulty meeting family and personal living expenses. Centrelink
Exceptional Circumstances Relocation Grant This grant aims to assist ex-farming families in Exceptional Circumstances declared areas to access job seeking and relocation assistance. Centrelink
Fuel tax credits

Eligible businesses can register and claim for fuel tax credits when using particular fuels for specified activities.

If you were a business claiming under the Energy Grants Credit Scheme (EGCS) and were registered for GST, you were automatically registered for fuel tax credits.

Green Building Fund Offers assistance for energy-efficient retro-fitting of existing buildings and support for training initiatives to improve the skills of building operators. AusIndustry
Interim Income Support for Farmers Provides up to six months' income support for farmers in drought-affected areas outside of current Exceptional Circumstances zoned areas. Centrelink
Land and Water Australia Provides funding for research and training into sustainable use and management of Australia's natural resources under specific categories. Land and Water Australia
Long Day Care (LDC) Capital Funding Program  The LDC Capital Funding Program aims to support existing services to child care operators to ensure financial viability in communities. Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR)
Low Emissions Technology and Abatement (LETA) A range of programs supporting the identification and implementation of cost effective abatement opportunities and the uptake of small scale low emission technologies. Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts

Low Emissions Technology Demonstration Fund (LETDF)

LETDF funds projects that demonstrate the commercial potential of new energy technologies or processes to deliver long term greenhouse gas emission reductions. Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism
National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Program Grant The NHMRC Program Grant scheme provides support for teams of high calibre researchers to pursue broadly based collaborative research activities. National Health and Medical Research Council
Natural Resource Innovation Grants Single grants are available to encourage sustainable production by developing and adopting innovative land management techniques. Business start-up or commercialisation activities are not eligible for funding under this scheme. Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF)
Product Stewardship for Oil (PSO) Program

The PSO Program provides benefits to eligible recyclers of used oil and businesses who use selected used oil.

Re-Tooling for Climate Change Provides grants to improve manufacturing production processes to cut energy use and carbon emissions. AusIndustry

Renewable Energy Equity Fund (REEF)

REEF provides smaller businesses with venture capital and managerial advice to help support innovative renewable energy technologies and services. AusIndustry
Renewable Energy Water Pumping Sub-program (REWPS) REWPS provides rebates for business, government and other incorporated organisations, to support the installation of renewable energy water pumping systems in those areas of Australia not close to a main-grid. Renewable Remote Power Generation Program (RRPGP) RRPGP provides financial support for the use of renewable generation technologies in remote areas of Australia that currently rely on fossil fuel for electricity supply. Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts
