RRIF case studies

The Australian Government’s $50 million Regulation Reduction Incentive Fund (RRIF) provides Local Government Authorities (LGAs) with incentives to press ahead with regulatory reforms that will benefit small business, in particular home-based businesses.

As part of the RRIF, the Department has prepared several case studies of demonstration projects that have been, or are in the process of being, developed by local councils. These examples provide LGAs with ideas on reducing the impact of regulation on small and home-based businesses through changing business practices and the application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). These projects target compliance with certain local government regulations that small business considers onerous.
