Overview

As part of the Northern Territory (NT) government's COVID-19 recovery package, funding will be available for businesses to purchase goods and services to make permanent physical improvements to their premises (land and/or building).

Any improvements made must help to improve business operations and customer experience.

The first $10,000 will be paid as a grant with no co-contribution required. A further $10,000 will be available provided the business contributes $10,000 of their own.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, your business must be Territory enterprise which:

  • is a legal entity and holds a valid Australian business number (ABN) as of the date the program is open
  • is operating in the NT in either owned or leased premises
  • has a significant permanent presence in the NT
  • employs NT residents (this can be you if you are a sole trader)

For businesses doing the work

Businesses looking to do the work must register online at Jobs, Rescue and Recovery from Monday, 30 March 2020, so they can be listed on the approved business and tradespeople list for those receiving the funding to select from.
