Fit and Flow Physiotherapy

With the support of the Small Business Digital Champions project, Ciaran simplified her payroll processes and automated payments and receipts reconciliation via a cloud based accounting software. Engaging an accounting consultant to set up the software and provide training freed up her time to work on the business.

“My practice manager Alison received training to do the payroll and financials, which frees up my time to work on other aspects of the business such as website design and digital marketing.”

Ciaran plans to create education videos for patients and health professionals and wants to offer tele-health services to support patients and health providers in remote locations.

My goal is to not only reach more customers, but to provide more for our patients. We want to help patients achieve their outcomes faster.

Ciaran Williams, founder of Fit and Flow Physiotherapy

Integrated systems = No more manual data entry

Fit and Flow Physiotherapy’s practice management system integrates with its cloud accounting software which means Ciaran no longer manually reviews bank transactions against invoice payments. The software also reconciles and prepares business activity statements (BAS) for lodgement with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

The accounting software automates the labour intensive data-driven tasks, such as processing a large number of transactions quickly, setting up direct feeds from bank accounts and sending automated invoice reminders.

Benefits of cloud base software

Cloud-base software offers many benefits to small business including:

  • Shared access to accounts and financial data between practice managers and accountants from any location.
  • Providers such as Xero guarantee that all data is backed up automatically, preventing the risk of data loss for your business.
  • Data stored in the cloud is safer than on your computer. While your computer can be stolen or corrupted, cloud companies invest millions in protecting your data.
