Overview

Event Bushfire Recovery Assistance provides funding to support events being held in the Huon Valley, Derwent Valley and Central Highlands to help these regions rebuild from the 2019 bushfires.

Funding must be used to amplify the marketing of the event to attract visitors from outside the region from where the event is to be held.

The funding is not intended for events that are primarily a showcase for stall-holders to demonstrate, promote or sell services, including:

  • conferences
  • conventions
  • symposiums
  • trade fairs
  • markets

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must:

  • be holding an event within the Huon Valley, Derwent Valley or Central Highlands prior to the end of the 2019 - 2020 financial year
  • outline your existing marketing plan and demonstrate how the event would benefit from the grant
  • provide your overall event budget
