Who is this for?

Small businesses in areas affected by the Eastern Queensland bushfire 7 October to 19 December 2019 and the Southern Queensland bushfire 6 to 12 September 2019.

Overview

These loans are intended for small businesses who have suffered significant damage to their assets and/or a significant loss of income as a direct result of the Eastern Queensland bushfire 7 October to 19 December 2019 and the Southern Queensland bushfire 6 to 12 September 2019.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must:

  • be a small business owner
  • have an Australian business number (ABN) and have held that ABN at the time of the eligible disaster
  • own a small business located in a defined disaster area
  • have been carrying on the small business at the time of the bushfire
  • be intending to re-establish your operations in the same community or region
  • have suffere
    • significant damage to assets as a direct result of the eligible disaster
    • significant loss of income as a direct result of the eligible disaster (such as a loss in trade due to evacuation, road closures and reduced visitor numbers)
