Overview

Growing Apprenticeships and Traineeships: Industry and Regionally-Led Solutions Program provides organisations with funding to undertake innovative projects that will result in new apprentice or trainee employment by employers.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate that their intended project will:

  • strengthen Tasmania’s workforce by increasing the number of new apprentices and trainees employed
  • identify current industry and / or regional obstacles limiting the jobs of apprentices and trainees and recognise targeted solutions to address these obstacles
  • support collaborative relationships between industry, employers, community organisations, and training organisations

Funding of up to $200,000 is available. Bonus payments may be issued if apprentice and trainee employment targets are met.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must:

  • have an Australian Company Number (ACN) or an Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • have a comprehensive understanding of an industry and / or regional economy and workforce
  • have strong relationships with relevant stakeholders to ensure a successful project outcome
  • be able to enter into a contract with the Agency
  • disclose all funding used in relation to the project
  • undertake a project in Tasmania which services the Tasmanian community
