The Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) program helps Queensland businesses with two thirds of the cost of hiring a graduate to work on an innovative project.

Funding of up to $50,000 per project is available to help businesses with the cost of hiring a graduate to work on an innovative project. The funding can be used to fund two-thirds of the eligible project costs, with the requirement for you to match one-third of the costs.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must:

  • have less than 200 full-time equivalent employees (FTEs)
  • have been operating for more than two years
  • have an Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • have a strategic innovation project requiring collaboration with a university that you are prepared to manage
  • be registered for Goods and Services Tax (GST) before the project commences
  • be able to contribute one-third of the eligible project costs.
