Who is this for?

Western Australian small to medium manufacturing enterprises.

Overview

This program assists Western Australian SMEs who manufacture, or aim to manufacture PPE to undertake an independent market feasibility study to consider the following:

  • current and future market opportunities
  • identification of competitors both local and overseas
  • market entry criteria and the ability to meet these, including regulatory requirements
  • the capability and capacity to manufacture PPE
  • any necessary re-tooling, re-training or other significant changes required to manufacture PPE
  • projected viability

Applications under this round must relate to the manufacture of the following PPE items:

  • gowns
  • hand sanitisers
  • masks
  • ventilators
  • safety glasses
  • face visors
  • wipes
  • disinfectant
  • swabs
  • coveralls
  • thermometers
  • gloves
  • reagents

Successful applicants may receive 50% of eligible costs up to a maximum of $20,000.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must:

  • have an Australian business number (ABN) or an Australian company number (ACN) and be solvent
  • have their operating facilities based in WA and continue to be based in WA for at least the next 12 months
  • have been trading for at least 3 years
  • have less than 200 employees (although this may be considered on a case-by-case basis)
  • plan to manufacture 1 or more of the PPE items listed above
