Overview

The SPURonWA grant program supports WA businesses, startups and individuals working with location-based information to develop innovative products and services.

This support is intended to:

  • improve government service delivery
  • create and grow successful business enterprises
  • reduce operating costs of government and industry
  • strenghten the local economy.

Funding may be used for:

  • product development such as prototype development, product testing and website, engineering design work or app development
  • commercialisation services such as business, financial, marketing or legal advice
  • intellectual property protection.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible you must:

  • be a business or individual based in WA
  • have an Australian Business Number (ABN), or, as an individual be willing to obtain one if successful in the grant process.

Additionally your proposal must:

  • be for a new product or service
  • have a strong location information component.

You are unable to apply if you are a WA state government agency or body.
