Overview

Grants are available to eligible NSW small businesses to provide immediate, short-term cashflow assistance to help businesses survive or adapt to the changed border circumstances.

The funding available is tiered based on decline in turnover:

  • the second tier of $10,000 is for small businesses that employ between 0.5 and 20 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff, that have suffered at least a 75% decline since 8 July 2020 compared to a period of at least 2 weeks between 30 March 2020 and 7 July 2020 inclusive

Funds may be used for:

  • immediate operating expenses, such as utilities or rent

  • diversifying markets and supply chains
  • marketing and communications activities
  • digital solutions (for example, e-commerce, business websites, online sales platforms)
  • developing human capital (for example, digital skills, export training and consulting)

Funding may only be used for eligible costs from 8 July 2020, and where no other government support is available.
