The briefing has been organised by the Australia Indonesia Business Council in conjunction with the Australian Industry Defence Network Chapter ACT and the Defence Council of the Australian Industry Group. Register at the Australia Indonesia Business Council website.

The program includes:

  • Hon David Johnston, the Australian Government’s Defence Exports Advocate
  • His Excellency Kristiarto Legowo, the Indonesian Ambassador to Australia
  • senior officials from the Centre for Defence Industry Capability, Department of Defence, Export Finance Australia and Austrade
  • a panel session involving key players from companies that have been successful in defence exporting to Indonesia

Indonesia is our second largest market for defence exports. The recent launch of the Defence Exports Strategy and the growing need for the Indonesian armed forces to update their equipment and systems presents a significant opportunity for Australian exporters, particularly businesses that are involved in global supply chains. This briefing will provide attendees with introductory information on the market and regulatory environment.
