The BAE Systems Australia Global Access Program (GAP) was established in 2012 to provide Australian suppliers with access to worldwide opportunities and an entry point to BAE Systems’ global supply chain. Through a team embedded across BAE Systems’ international business units, GAP creates export opportunities for Australian companies within the supply chains of BAE Systems group and partner organisations.

Global Access Program

The GAP is built upon supply and demand principles and focusses on providing export opportunities.

The GAP team engages with program managers and procurement professionals across BAE Systems’ global supply chain to find opportunities for Australian suppliers to support a diverse range of products and services in the:

  • air
  • land
  • sea
  • electronic domains

They also engage widely with Australian industry to maintain a detailed knowledge of local capability and export potential.

In addition to identifying opportunities and providing introductions, BAE Systems' GAP team also offer companies mentoring and assistance through their supplier training programs, supporting them to develop world-class capability.

The GAP will deliver an enhanced education program in 2020 addressing the following topics:

  • security
  • export controls
  • supplier quality assurance
  • estimating and pricing
  • strategic sourcing
  • supply chain frameworks
