The US Department of Defense’s Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office (CTTSO) has recently released its 2018 Broad Agency Announcement (BAA 18-S-3001) soliciting concepts for innovative research and development projects.

Australian companies with defence, counter terrorism or homeland security development capabilities are encouraged to review BAA 18-S-3001 to see if their solutions match with the CTTSO areas of interest.  Australian industry and academia have been successful in securing funds from CTTSO in previous years.

Submissions are due no later than 3:00pm US Eastern Time on 5 February 2018.

The CTTSO aims to identify and develop capabilities to combat terrorism and irregular adversaries. Its mission is to deliver capabilities and provide solutions to the US Department of Defense and interagency partners, including first responders and other front‐line users, through rapid research and development, advanced studies and technical innovation.
