The talent pipeline webinar: Hiring apprentices for your salon

You are invited to the upcoming webinar on hiring apprentices for the hairdressing and barbering industry.

• Part of the 2024 Hairdressing and Barbering Recruitment Strategy (pilot), this webinar will primarily be targeted to employers and salon managers.
• Guest speakers include salon owners, training organisations and the Australian Government Department of Workplace Relations, who will provide valuable information and guidance on recruiting and retaining apprentices and trainees.

The webinar is hosted by the Australian Hairdressing Council.

The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations are working with the Australian Hairdressing Council (AHC) on a pilot project to support the attraction of candidates to the industry.

This pilot program encourages employers to consider apprenticeships and traineeships to build their workforce.

This workshop will cover:

• supports to help hire apprentices, from recruitment to onboarding and who to contact for support and guidance
• updates to the Apprenticeships program and Apprenticeship Connect Providers
• retention strategies and practical tools to support salons.
