National On-Farm Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebate ACT
The National On-Farm Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebate provides drought affected livestock farmers in the ACT region with a rebate to help with the costs of purchasing and installing new water infrastructure for animal welfare needs.
Applications close 30 June 2021 or when the funding allocation is exhausted, whichever occurs first.

Overview
The National On-Farm Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebate provides drought affected livestock farmers with a rebate to help them with the costs of purchasing, installing and upgrading on-farm water infrastructure.
The aim of the scheme is to improve farm resilience to drought by:
- addressing animal welfare needs during drought
- assisting primary producers to be more resilient for future droughts
- assisting primary producers to be more productive through the installation of new water infrastructure
- assisting in mitigating the degradation of natural watering points
The rebate applies to the purchase and installation of emergency water infrastructure for livestock, including:
- pipes
- tanks and troughs associated with stock watering
- water pumps
- de-silting works of existing dams
- drilling new stock water bores and associated power supply eg generators
What are the eligibility criteria?
To be eligible, you must:
- be an ACT rural leaseholder
- own farm stock in the ACT (cattle, sheep, horses, goats) that will benefit from the installation of additional water infrastructure
- install stock water infrastructure for which the rebate is being sought on a rural property in the ACT
