2020 Resilience Fund: Survive

The 2020 Resilience Fund: Survive provides emergency funding relief to support the livelihoods, practice and operations of Australian artists, groups and organisations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

What do you get?

Funding of up to $2000 for individuals and groups and up to $5000 for organisations.

Who is this for?

Australian artists, groups and organisations.


Funding is available for individuals, groups and organisations to recoup income or fees lost from cancelled work, including:

  • commissions
  • presentations
  • speaking opportunities
  • tours
  • residencies
  • workshops
  • collaborations

Claims may also be made for costs incurred due to cancellation, including:

  • travel
  • venue hire
  • equipment and material costs
  • freight
  • accommodation
  • rent
  • labour

Claims cannot be made for:

  • activities that do not involve or benefit practising artists or arts workers
  • activities that occurred prior to 1 February 2020
  • postponed activities that have been or will be rescheduled, and where income, fees or other costs have not been forfeited

What are the eligibility criteria?

Individuals, groups and organisations can apply. 

Individuals can apply for themselves or on behalf of a group. You must be a practising artist or arts worker, and an Australian citizen or an Australian permanent resident.

Australian organisations that create artistic work or provide a service to the arts sector can apply.
