26 TEN Grants TAS

26 TEN Grants provide businesses and peak bodies with funding to help them improve the literacy and numeracy skills of their workers and make their workplace more literacy friendly.


What do you get?

Between $5000 and $50,000.

Who is this for?

Tasmanian businesses and peak bodies.


These grants are for Tasmanian employers to improve:

  • the literacy and numeracy skills of their workers
  • the literacy friendliness of their workplaces by, ensuring that, for example
    • work documents are in plain English
    • there are plenty of signs
    • supervisors and managers know how to help workers develop the literacy and numeracy skills they need.

What are the eligibility criteria?

This program is open to:

  • employers operating in Tasmania
  • Tasmanian industry associations and peak bodies
  • registered training organisations (provided they are in partnership with Tasmanian employers, industry associations and peak bodies).

Eligible projects include activities that:

  • provide literacy support
  • develop general literacy skills
  • develop skills for your staff to help them work with low literacy staff or clients
  • help find out the literacy needs of employees in your business (such as surveys, consultations, or research)
  • develop literacy resources
  • make work documents easy to read.
