Overview

The following projects and activities may be considered for funding:

  • activities promoting specific sectors, industries, and groups of businesses in Canberra
  • development of collaborative recruitment strategies and plans
  • collaborative workforce plans for high growth potential sectors in Canberra
  • strategies to attract the skilled workforce businesses need to re-open and grow post pandemic.

There are 2 grants available:

Grant 1 – between $1,000 and $9,999 (excluding GST)

  • applicants must make a cash contribution but does not have to be on a dollar-for-dollar basis.

Grant 2 –  between $10,000 and $50,000 (excluding GST)

  • applicants must make a matched dollar-for-dollar cash contribution.

What are the eligibility criteria?

Applications will be accepted from business cohorts (2 or more businesses) whereby the lead business must be based in and maintain primary operations in the ACT.

To be eligible, businesses must:

  • have a valid and active Australian business number (ABN) as recorded on the Australian Business Register
  • be registered for goods and services tax (GST) on or before 1 April 2021
  • be able to demonstrate primary operation in the ACT as of 1 April 2021
  • demonstrate financial viability
  • have current Public Liability Insurance (PLI) coverage to a minimum level of $10 million.
