The Australia China Agricultural Cooperation Agreement provides farm, forestry or fisheries enterprises with funding for projects or trade missions that promote cooperative agricultural relationships with China.

Funding of up to $65,000.

Farm, forestry or fisheries enterprises.


ACACA provides funding for projects that help to:

  • promote cooperation in agriculture, fisheries and forestry between Australia and China
  • develop the trading relationship
  • provide ways to exchange scientific information.

Grants up to $50,000 (including GST) are available for projects that develop Australia's agricultural trading relationship with China.

Grants up to $15,000 (including GST) are available for trade missions.

The funding priorities include:

  • food safety, regulatory, biosecurity, trade and investment and service and technology cooperation
  • post-harvest storage and waste
  • advanced and sustainable agriculture technologies
  • commodity production research
  • agricultural product processing
  • exploration of niche markets
  • water in agriculture
  • sanitary and phytosanitary training
  • animal husbandry
  • eCommerce innovation.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must:

  • have a current Australian business number (ABN)
  • be registered for goods and services tax (GST)
  • if an individual, be a permanent resident of Australia
  • if an entity, be registered to operate in Australia
  • have an account with an Australian financial institution.
