Overview

Funding is available for employing and non-employing businesses in industry sectors that are significantly impacted by the COVID-19 density rules and other trading restrictions applicable in SA from 28 July 2021.

This grant builds on the COVID-19 Business Support Grant – July 2021 which was announced in July as a result of the restrictions and lockdown imposed 20 July 2021. Businesses that received the COVID-19 Business Support Grant – July 2021 are eligible to receive additional COVID-19 Business Support Grant, subject to meeting all the eligibility criteria.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, businesses must as at the start of the restriction period commencing 28 July 2021:

  • be located within SA
  • have a valid and active Australian business number (ABN) and be registered for goods and services tax (GST)
  • have an Australia-wide payroll of less than $10 million in the 2019-20 financial year
  • operate in an eligible industry sector identified in the list of eligible ANZSIC classes
  • have experienced at least a 30% reduction in turnover due to the restricted trading conditions over the 2 weeks from 28 July 2021 (the commencement date of the trading restriction) to 10 August 2021 compared to average fortnightly turnover in the June quarter 2021 (prior to restrictions).
