COVID-19 Business Support Grant – Employing ACT

This program supports ACT small to medium employing businesses whose turnover has significantly declined as a result of public health measures in place since 12 August 2021 to respond to COVID-19.

Funding of up to $20,000.

Who is this for?

ACT employing businesses.


Funding is available for employing businesses over the lockdown period for businesses whose turnover has declined by 30% or more as a result of the COVID-19 health restrictions.

Businesses will need to provide evidence of a 30% reduction in turnover revenue in a consecutive 7-day period in the declared lockdown (between Friday 13 August and Friday 17 September), compared with a consecutive 7-day period in April 2021 to August 2021 for which comparable business activity would have occurred.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must:

  • have a valid and active Australian business number (ABN) as recorded on the Australian Business Register
  • be registered for goods and services tax (GST) on or before 1 April 2021
  • demonstrate primary operation in the ACT as at 1 April 2021
  • employ people in the ACT as at 1 April 2021
  • have an annual turnover of more than $75,000 (excluding GST) in either 2019-20 or 2020-21
  • have total annual Australian wages of less than $10 million in 2019-20 or 2020-21
  • be able to demonstrate a 30% loss in revenue due to restricted trading conditions.
