COVID-19 Infection Control Training ACT

Free nationally accredited infection control training is available to help local ACT businesses be COVID safe.

Free training places will be available until 15 December 2021 or until the total number of funded training places is reached (whichever occurs first).

Who is this for?

ACT customer-facing workers.


This training is targeted for customer facing workers and aims to support businesses to re-open safely, reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 and support consumer confidence.

Fully funded training places are available in a selection of infection control Skill Sets for customer-facing workers (including business owners and supervisors).

Funding is prioritised for those working in the retail, tourism, transport and logistics, hospitality, cleaning, security service, aged and disability sectors.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, participants must be:

  • an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or New Zealand passport holder resident for more than 6 months, or
  • a person who holds a visa that is identified as being an eligible visa holder, and
  • living in the ACT, and
  • at least 15 years of age,
  • be employed in a customer-facing role.
