The Regional Airline Network Support Program assists domestic commercial airlines operating services to regional and remote locations. It helps to support regional communities relying on air freight and the transport of personnel. 

The value of the grant is negotiated with the air operator based on the services. The grant underwrites eligible services on a shortfall subsidy basis.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must:

  • have an Australian business number (ABN)
  • be registered for goods and services tax (GST)
  • have an account with an Australian financial institution
  • have a Regular Public Transport Air Operator’s Certificate and have been operating public commercial air services to/from regional and/or remote location(s) in accordance with your certificate pre-COVID19 (February 2020)
  • be one of the following:
    • a company incorporated in Australia
    • a company incorporated by guarantee
    • an incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust
    • a partnership
    • a registered charity or not-for-profit organisation
    • an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Corporation registered under the Corporations (Aboriginal and /or Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006.
