Grants for QLD exploration businesses

This program provides Queensland based exploration companies with funding to help them undertake mineral exploration activities.

Overview

The Collaborative Exploration Initiative (CEI) provides industry grants to:

• encourage exploration, particularly in frontier areas
• support innovative exploration techniques, including machine learning
• promote the discovery and development of 'new economy' minerals.

This round supports proposals that will test innovative exploration concepts, which will in turn provide a new understanding of the geology and new economy mineral prospectivity in Queensland.

To be eligible, companies must:

• have an Australian business number (ABN)
• be registered for goods and services tax (GST)
• have public liability insurance for the term of the project for at least $10 million.
