Community Heritage Grants provide funding to help identify, conserve, interpret and promote heritage assets.

What you get?

Funding of between $10,000 and $50,000.

Who is this for?

Owners, custodians and managers of heritage items.


Funding is available for community engagement projects such as educational events, promotional material, digital and web-based products and services that improve knowledge and perceptions of heritage.

The project must deliver a service or product:

  • that actively engages people in understanding, celebrating and promoting NSW heritage
  • where delivery is across a region or all of NSW (for example not limited to one small local group but targeted at a larger audience in NSW and potentially beyond)
  • that has the support of and includes appropriate consultation with Aboriginal communities if the project includes Aboriginal cultural heritage content.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must be an individual, consultant, community group or organisation, or NSW local government or regional joint organisation.
