Overview
Co-funding is available for eligible applicants to build, own and operate EV charging stations across NSW.
There are 2 funding streams:
Standard Stream
- Stations must have a minimum of 4 charging bays, a minimum connection of 500kVA to site and must be proposed in one of the eligible zones as listed in Appendix 4 of the guidelines.
- As a minimum requirement, charging stations must be 50% privately funded by the applicant or their partners.
- The maximum grant available is $490,000 per site.
- Applicants must source renewable energy to cover the electricity usage of the charging station.
Fast-track Stream
- Stations may be proposed in defined 'fast-track' zones located in high density areas and must have a minimum of 8 charging bays.
- As a minimum requirement, charging stations must be 30% privately funded by the applicant or their partners.
- The maximum grant available is $900,000 per site.
Check if you can apply
To be eligible, applicants must:
- have and provide the Australian business number (ABN) of their organisation and any other partner organisation
- have relevant insurances (public liability, workers compensation etc)
- provide a project funding strategy
- agree to share in knowledge sharing activities related to the project.
