Farm Safety Rebate VIC

The Farm Rebate Safety Scheme provides farmers with rebates to invest in infrastructure and equipment to improve farm safety.


What do you get?

A rebate of up to $5000.

Who is this for?

Victorian farm businesses.


Eligible funding uses include, but are not limited to:

  • child safety fencing and installation costs
  • safety and warning signs
  • animal handling equipment
  • chemical hazards management e.g. storage shed, spill washdown, shower facilities and eye wash station etc.
  • emergency shut off switches for existing machinery and equipment
  • retrofit of guarding on machinery and plant where guards did not previously exist

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must:

  • be the owner, operator, share farmer or leaseholder of a farm business located in Victoria
  • be located where the project will be installed
  • be focused on primary production
  • hold an Australian business number (ABN)
  • be registered for goods and services tax (GST)
  • make at least a 50% cash co-contribution
