Getting the Show Back on the Road provides funding to performing arts organisations, live music producers and presenters, festival organisers and commercial event companies to help them stage a show or tour during these uncertain times.

What you get?

Shared risk payments at an agreed rate of between 30% to 75% of box office losses, to a maximum of $150,000.

Who is this for?

Event organisers who run public ticketed cultural, arts, agricultural, sporting or culinary events.


This is a shared risk program that supports a percentage of box office losses or sporting-related registration fees in the situation where there has been a negative impact due to specific COVID-19-related issues. This program applies to public ticketed cultural, arts, agricultural, sporting and culinary events.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible for this program you must be a company, organisation or individual that has organised a ticketed event planned to taking place in metropolitan or regional WA. You must also:

  • be a legal entity capable of entering a legally binding grant contract with the Western Australian State Government
  • have an Australian business number (ABN)
  • have an account in the name of the company, organisation or individual with an Australian financial institution or bank registered with the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority
  • be authorised by the company or organisation’s constitution to be able to sign contracts.

Individuals must also be Australian citizens or have permanent resident status.
