Owners of heritage listed places based in the Northern Territory.

Overview

Heritage Grants Program provides owners of heritage listed places with funding to help them with conservation work costs.

Physical conservation work, including preservation, maintenance, restoration, reconstruction and interpretation may be carried out on:

  • buildings and other structures
  • Aboriginal archaeological sites
  • places of social significance
  • places of natural significance including flora, fauna and geological sites
  • moveable objects

Projects involving research and documentation, and promotional projects may also be considered.

Funding of up to $20,000 per year is available. For larger projects requiring in excess of $20,000, it is advised to stage the project.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must:

  • an individual
  • a private business
  • a non-profit organisation
  • a community group, including an Aboriginal organisation
