Who is this for?
South Australian primary producers of horticultural crops in the Riverland and Adelaide Hills/Greater Adelaide region.
Overview
Funding is available to cover the costs of third-party providers of permanent and throw-over protective netting and associated support structures required for installation. Written quotes or cost estimates from a third-party supplier will need to be included with the application.
The crop to be netted must be located within the following Local Government areas:
Riverland Area
- Berri Barmera Council
- District Council of Loxton Waikerie
- Mid Murray Council
- Renmark Paringa Council
Adelaide Hills and Greater Adelaide Area
- Adelaide Hills Council
- Adelaide Plains Council
- Alexandrina Council
- City of Victor Harbor
- District Council of Yankalilla
- Light Regional Council
- McLaren Vale Character Preservation District
- Mount Barker District Council
- The Barossa Council
- Town of Gawler
What are the eligibility criteria?
To be eligible, you must:
- be registered as a primary production business with the ATO and have an Australian business number (ABN)
- be a property owner, share farmer or lease holder in the horticultural industry
- operate as a sole trader, partnership, trust or private company
- earn more than 50% of your gross income from the primary production business under normal seasonal circumstances
- be growing the horticultural crop within an eligible Local Government area
