Overview

Funding is available to support Northern Territory tourism businesses that have experienced a decline in international visitors and to re-establish brand awareness.

Eligible marketing activities for all applicants include:

  • contracting expert advice to determine international marketing potential
  • developing an export marketing plan or receiving advice to assist with planning for international distribution.

Eligible marketing activities for applicants who were active in international markets prior to 20 March 2020 include:

  • undertaking offshore marketing campaigns
  • outsourcing the creation of market specific content
  • developing or modifying e-commerce platforms for international audiences
  • holding or travelling to virtual or face-to-face events targeted at international visitors
  • other international marketing and promotional activities discussed and approved by Tourism NT.

Funding of up to $15,000 is available on a 3:1 co-contribution basis.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must:

  • be an enterprise operating in the Northern Territory that has a significant permanent presence and employs NT residents
  • have a significant tourism focus
  • have an up-to-date Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) listing
  • be a member of a relevant peak body/association
  • be financially viable and not have had a liquidator appointed
  • have acquitted previous funding received
  • be able to complete the activity before 30 June 2022.

Both for profit and not for profit organisations are eligible to apply.
