Investment Support Grants - Packaging provides organisations with funding for projects that reduce the amount of packaging materials disposed of in landfill.

What you get?

Between $10,000 and $50,000 per project.

Who is this for?

Small to medium-sized enterprises, not-for-profits and social enterprises.


This program is targeted at projects that aim to reduce, recover or reuse packaging materials including, plastics, paper and cardboard, glass and rubber. Projects that primarily recover metals are excluded from this program.

Eligible projects will seek to:

  • reduce generation of packaging waste
  • increase or improve the recovery of packaging waste
  • manufacture packaging using recovered materials
  • remanufacture using packaging waste.

Funding may be used for eligible project costs, including:

  • piloting new systems, processes or technologies
  • acquiring additional plant and equipment
  • expanding facilities to enable increased resource recovery
  • enabling works to house new plant and equipment
  • research, development and demonstration.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must:

  • have a valid Australian business number (ABN)
  • employ fewer than 200 full-time equivalent employees
  • have been in operation for at least 12 months
  • propose a project in Victoria
  • have not yet commenced the project.
