The New Local Capability fund aims to help businesses build capacity, increase their competitiveness and help them to succeed as suppliers to major market opportunities in WA.

The METRONET Railcar Procurement Round provides funding to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) who are seeking support to become part of the supply chain for the METRONET railcar procurement initiative. 

Funding may be used to obtain assistance to meet essential pre-qualification requirements for supply chain entry, including:

  • purchase of plant and equipment
  • expert consultancy fees, including advice on occupational health and safety, marketing and finance

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must:

  • have an ACN or ABN
  • be solvent
  • not be a not-for-profit organisation or charity
  • have your operating facilities based in WA
  • have been operating for at least 3 years
  • employ up to 200 people
  • have an annual turnover of between $250,000 - $100 million
