Overview

This program aims to support major tourism businesses who are key drivers of significant interstate and/or international tourism, as well as major employers and nationally significant tourism operators and attractions, such as major theme parks and major reef tourism operators affected by COVID-19 travel restrictions.

Eligible employing large tourism attraction or experience businesses may receive grant funding as follows:

Annual QLD turnover not less than $25 million

  • employ at least 50 people as at 30 June 2021
  • funding of $2 million.

Annual QLD turnover not less than $100 million

  • employ at least 200 people as at 30 June 2021
  • funding of $3 million.

Annual QLD turnover not less than $200 million

  • employ at least 500 people as at 30 June 2021
  • funding of $4 million.

Approved grant funding will be paid in 2 equal instalments.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible for funding, an applicant can be:

  • a business
  • a business collection, or
  • a non-profit organisation.

Applicants must also:

  • be trading from premises in Queensland since at least 30 June 2021
  • hold a valid Australian business number (ABN) and have continuously held that ABN since 30 June 2021
  • be solvent.
