Regional Job Creation Fund

The Regional Job Creation Fund provides funding to businesses in engine industries to undertake projects which create jobs in regional NSW.

What you get?

Co-funding of between $100,000 and $10 million.

Who is this for?

Businesses in engine industries.


Examples of eligible projects could include the:

  • replacement, upgrade or adaptation of plant and equipment at an existing regional NSW business
  • establishment of an additional production line for an existing regional NSW business
  • onshoring of activity currently done overseas to a regional NSW location
  • development of new regional tourism experiences and visitor attractions
  • relocation of a business operation from out of state to regional NSW

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must:

  • be a business or co-operative operating in an engine industry, enabling engine industry or emerging engine industry
  • have an Australian business number (ABN)
  • be registered for goods and services tax (GST)
  • be undertaking the project in regional NSW
  • have the demonstrated skills and capacity to deliver the project
  • have at least $20 million public liability insurance
  • create at least 5 sustainable regional jobs via the project
  • provide a minimum 50% cash co-contribution to the project

Applicants may be based internationally, interstate or in either metropolitan or regional NSW.
