Who is this for?

Regional Victorian resource recovery organisations.


Funding may be used to build and/or upgrade material recovery (sorting) facilities in regional Victoria to achieve one or more of the following:

  • optimise the extraction of recyclable materials from municipal, commercial or industrial mixed sources (construction and demolition is not eligible)
  • create a new sorting capability, within a new or existing facility
  • upgrade existing capability, allowing increased throughput, sorting to a more specific level, and reduction in contamination in the final sorted material.

Check if you can apply

The following organisations can apply for funding:

  • private industry, including First Nations businesses
  • Indigenous corporations
  • social enterprises
  • not-for-profit organisations
  • local government authorities.

Additionally, applicants must:

  • have operated in Australia for at least 12 months on the application closing date
  • be an incorporated body, cooperative or association (including business associations)
  • be financially solvent.
