Overview
2 tiers of funding are available to help pay for clean-up and reinstatement costs:
- Tier 1 – funding of $2,500 to support initial costs
- Tier 2 – subsequent funding of $22,500 to support ongoing costs.
Funding is available to small businesses within the following impacted municipalities:
- Break O’Day
- Burnie
- Central Coast
- Central Highlands
- Circular Head
- Devonport
- Dorset
- Flinders
- George Town
- Kentish
- Latrobe
- Launceston
- Meander Valley
- Northern Midlands
- Waratah-Wynyard
- West Coast
- West Tamar.
Check if you can apply
To be eligible, applicants must:
- be a sole operator or a small business employing fewer than 20 full-time equivalent employees (FTEs)
- hold an Australian business number (ABN) at the time of the severe weather event on 13 and 14 October 2022
- own a small business in an impacted municipality
- have suffered direct damage to premises and/or tools
- be intending to re-establish at the same location in the same municipality
- be claiming for costs relating to clean-up activities
- be primarily responsible for meeting the costs claimed.
