A rebate is available to small businesses, sole traders and not-for-profits to help them recover from the impacts of COVID-19 and encourage growth by reducing the cost of running a business.

Rebates of up to $2000.

Who is this for?

NSW small businesses, sole traders and not-for-profits.


Funds can be used to offset the costs of eligible NSW and local government fees and charges, including but not limited to:

  • food authority licences
  • liquor licences
  • tradesperson licences
  • event fees
  • outdoor seating fees
  • council rates
  • road user tolls for business use.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must:

  • have total Australian wages below the NSW Government 2020–2021 payroll tax threshold of $1.2 million
  • have an Australian business number (ABN) registered and/or are physically located and operating in New South Wales.
