The Small Business Growth Strategy 2026 sets out the priorities and objectives for government and the private sector to support small business growth in Tasmania.

Under this program, grants of between $10,000 and $50,000 are available to fund the delivery of new projects that align with the themes of the Small Business Growth Strategy 2026. These themes are:

  • people and connections
  • place
  • enabling business
  • technology.

Each application must address how the project relates to one of these Small Business Growth Strategy themes. Projects must also align with one of the following streams:

  • Stream 1: Research and feasibility studies.
  • Stream 2: Workplace capability.
  • Stream 3: Scaling up/business growth.

For organisation applicants (chambers of commerce and/or peak industry bodies, regional tourism organisations), one-off grants of up to $50,000 are available.

For business applicants, the amount of funding will be determined by the business's sales turnover in the 2021- 22 financial year.
