Small businesses and no-for-profit organisations affected by the River Murray flooding emergency.
Overview
If your business usually operates in the effected area and has experienced a downturn of 30% or more in revenue within the last 3 months, you could be eligible for a $10,000 grant which could help you:
- pay for your usual business costs such as utilities, rent and staff salaries
- seek financial advice to support your business’ recovery
- make changes to your business, so it can operate effectively after the floods
- develop your business and extend reach through marketing and communications
- improve your resilience and future-proof your business for any future challenges
- retain your staff, stay connected and support your existing workforce.
Check if you can apply
To be eligible, you must:
- be a small business or not-for-profit organisation with less than 30 full-time employees (see the guidelines to check the definition)
- hold a valid Australian business number (ABN)
- operate your business within the defined disaster area
- have experienced a 30% or more decline in revenue within the 3 months from October to December 2022, or January to March 2023, in comparison with the same time the previous year
- demonstrate that your business operated with a minimum $10,000 income the same 3 months of the previous year.
