Funding of between $25,000 and $100,000 for up to 50% of eligible project expenditure.

Tasmanian businesses exploring and entering the global space economy.

Overview

Funding is available to support research and development projects that seek to extend, adapt or develop new products or services for the space economy.

Eligible project expenditure costs, directly related to the proposed project, include:

  • labour expenses
  • equipment, devices, data and software
  • service provider fees, such as professional services, engineering, market research, technology consulting, data and computing services
  • relevant administrative and marketing costs.

What are the eligibility criteria?

Applicants must:

  • be a company currently registered with the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC)
  • have a registered office and principal place of business address in Tasmania
  • have a registered Australian business number (ABN)
  • be registered for the goods and services tax (GST)
  • employ between 2 and 200 full time equivalent (FTE) staff
  • in the case of a joint or consortium application, nominate a principal applicant with written evidence of the support and degree of project involvement of all parties involved.

Applicants will need to demonstrate that proposed projects align with the Fund’s objectives and that projects can be implemented within 18 months.
