Support for VIC businesses to accelerate technology adoption and innovation

Overview

SummerTech LIVE provides the funding and connections that bring together Victorian businesses, senior level tertiary students, recent graduates, and educators to work on real digital technology problems over the summer break.

The program provides an opportunity for businesses to build digital capability and improve competitiveness through accessing academic supervisors and exceptional tertiary students. It also can help build relationships with education partners for future collaboration.

The Victorian Government fully funds the program. However, businesses must have the time and resources to offer mentoring to students, including regular catch-ups to help students and the educational supervisor gain an understanding of the businesses technology-related challenge.

Check if you can apply

The program is available to all registered Victorian businesses who:

• have an Australian business number (ABN) with a Victorian address
• has under 200 employees
• derives most of their income from the business activities
• has been established and in operation for more than 6 months
• has an innovative and achievable tech project
• are willing and able to mentor 2 students for 10–12 weeks over the December to March period, meeting at least weekly.
