Northern Territory tourism businesses.

Overview

Examples of eligible projects include:

  • development of a sustainability plan with measurable goals and actions
  • utilising clean energy alternatives (solar, wind, hydropower etc)
  • decarbonising your business (carbon emissions measurement and reduction)
  • introducing technologies that set new benchmarks in environmental performance
  • protecting or restoring the environment (land care, wildlife, biodiversity, water and clean air)
  • innovating for socially, culturally and environmentally sustainable supply chains
  • new tourism offerings and/or products that contribute to the conservation of the Territory’s natural and cultural values or benefit local community well-being
  • innovating for the sustainable use of natural and cultural resources
  • reducing, recovering, recycling or reusing waste.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • be undertaking a new and ongoing initiative
  • have a significant tourism focus
  • be legally constituted and registered in Australia
  • deliver the project in the Northern Territory
  • have a current Australian Tourism Data Warehouse listing
  • have an online booking system or have applied for one at the time of submitting the grant application
  • be a member of peak industry body.
