Territory Business Lockdown Payment Program (Round 2)

The Small Business Lockdown Payment provides financial support to businesses impacted during a COVID-19 lockdown period.


What do you get?

A payment of $1,000 and a further $2,000 one-off extended closure payment for certain businesses.

Who is this for?

NT businesses and sole traders.


This program has been established to provide immediate financial support to businesses and sole traders during a lockdown period.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, businesses must:

  • be a Territory enterprise
  • hold an Australian business number (ABN) as at the date of announcement of the lockdown
  • is located within a declared lockdown area
  • have been providing goods and/or services to the public wholly or substantially in the NT as at the date of announcement of the lockdown
  • be actively trading with an annual turnover of at least $75,000 and less than $10 million
  • have fewer than 20 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
  • have had to temporarily ceased or significantly reduced trading (i.e. a drop of 50% or more in turnover) as a direct result of the lockdown.
