Funding of up to $5,000.
Who is this for?
NT-based tour operators.
Overview
The program will reimburse businesses with up to $5,000 upon completion of the following training components:
- HLTAID011: Provide First Aid, or HLTAID005: Provide First Aid in Remote Situations
- Heavy vehicle training and license (Light Rigid, Medium Rigid or Heavy Rigid)
- MAR20321: Certificate II in Maritime Operations (Coxswain Grade 1 Near Coastal)
- MARSS00008: Shipboard Safety Skill Set
- TLIC0023: Operate a four-wheel drive vehicle (including defensive driving and 4WD training recovery)
- Becoming a Tour Guide (Savannah Guides)
- Micro-Credentials Tour Guide Course (Tour Guides Australia)
- EcoGuide Certification (Savannah Guides).
Check if you can apply
To be eligible for the program, businesses must:
- be legally constituted
- be an Australian-registered business and a Territory enterprise
- have a permanent presence in the Northern Territory
- have a touring product or products that require tour guides
- have a current Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) listing
- have an online booking system, be in the process of implementing one or provide a strong business case as to why a booking system is not required for your business
- be a member of a peak industry body.
