Funding is available for Northern Territory tourism operators to improve their accessibility offerings and promote the Northern Territory as a compelling destination for inclusive travel.

Examples of eligible projects include:

  • development of an accessible tourism plan with measurable goals and actions
  • construction of new tourism infrastructure
  • significant enhancements to existing infrastructure to create accessible visitor experiences
  • modification of touring vehicles or vessels
  • adaptive and assistive equipment and technology that can maximise the visitor experience.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • be undertaking a new and ongoing initiative
  • have a significant tourism focus
  • be legally constituted and registered in Australia
  • deliver the project in the Northern Territory
  • have a current Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) listing
  • have an online booking system or have applied for one at the time of submitting the grant application
  • be a member of peak industry body.
