Tourism Cooperative Marketing Fund ACT

The Tourism Cooperative Marketing Fund provides funding to cohorts of tourism related businesses to help them undertake marketing activities which promote the ACT as a tourism destination.

What you get?

Funding of between $1,000 and $100,000.

Who is this for?

ACT tourism and hospitality related businesses and organisations.


The primary objectives of the program are to:

  • deliver positive and measurable economic outcomes for the ACT tourism industry
  • support collaboration between industry operators
  • support new product and experience development
  • provide increased investment in high quality marketing campaigns or projects promoting Canberra and the region.

There are 2 grant categories:

  • Grant 1 – between $1,000 and $20,000 (applications for greater than $10,000 must be led by an accommodation partner)
  • Grant 2 – between $20,000 and $100,000 in a single application, must be matched on a dollar-for-dollar basis.

Eligible entities include tourism and hospitality businesses, attractions and cultural institutions.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, businesses must:

  • have an Australian business number (ABN) or Australian company number (ACN)
  • have current public liability insurance coverage to a minimum level of $10,000,000
  • collaborate with 1 or more businesses (the lead business must be based in the ACT)
  • provide an outline of the proposed marketing activity or project and how it will deliver positive and measurable economic outcomes for the ACT tourism industry
  • provide an outline of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the marketing project or activity and how these will be measured.
