Overview

Funding is available to support touring companies, professional conference organisers, businesses with a focus on exhibition booth builds and eligible attractions that have experienced mass cancellations due to restrictions put in place by interstate governments on travel.

Eligible businesses will receive one-off, scaled payments based on their annual turnover:

  • $5,000 – from $75,000 to $250,000 turnover
  • $10,000 – from $250,001 to $1 million turnover
  • $20,000 – from $1,000,001 to $5 million turnover
  • $30,000 – from $5,000,001 to $10 million turnover.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must:

  • be a Territory Enterprise
  • hold a valid Australian business number (ABN)
  • have been registered for goods and services tax (GST) as at 1 July 2019
  • be a touring company, a professional conference organiser or an eligible attraction
  • be actively trading with an annual turnover of more than $75,000 and less than $10 million
  • have had to temporarily cease or significantly reduce trading (that is, suffered a drop of 30% or more in turnover from 1 to 31 July 2021 as compared to the same period in 2019) as a direct result of the downturn in visitor numbers to the NT (whether because of government imposed restrictions or not)
  • be listed on the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) or have applied for a listing
  • not have an outstanding debt due and payable to the NT government.
