The Victorian Music Industry Recovery Program provides funding to contemporary music industry artists, workers and businesses who have lost work as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Funding of between $4,000 and $50,000.

Victorian contemporary music artists, workers, businesses and organisations.

Overview

This program aims to help contemporary music industry artists, workers and businesses to:

  • start working on activities that can be delivered while maintaining physical distancing and COVIDSafe measures
  • develop new works that can be commercialised
  • identify new ways of working, and new delivery pathways to connect with audiences
  • upskill through professional/business development and mentoring opportunities

Funding is available to support projects across the following 4 streams:

  • Victorian First Peoples
  • Deaf and Disabled artists
  • Development of new work
  • Training and professional development

What are the eligibility criteria?

Applications will be accepted from Victorian-based contemporary music professionals from all genres and career stages, including Victorian-based artists/bands, performers, agents, managers and promoters, contractors such as bookers, sound and lighting technicians and music industry businesses and organisations.

If applying as an individual, you must be:

  • an Australian citizen currently residing in Victoria, or
  • a permanent resident (holding an appropriate visa) who has resided in Victoria for at least 2 years immediately prior to the date of your application

Organisations must be legally constituted and if not must apply through an auspicing body.
